Chronic Illness
Your labs come back normal. Your body is screaming that something's wrong. We start from belief, not from making you prove it.
You've researched at 3 AM, become your own doctor, and learned to advocate for yourself because nobody else was going to. Here, you're met with belief first. Your body is intelligent. Your symptoms are data. And the answers don't have to come from someone who's never lived this reality.
Heart rate spikes, positional intolerance, and the exhaustion of a nervous system that won't signal safety. We understand what unpredictable responses to movement, gravity, and position actually mean for your day.
Being flexible isn't a superpower when your joints subluxate, your skin bruises easily, and most bodywork practitioners don't know how to touch your tissue safely. Willow lives with hEDS. She does.
Everything triggers a flare: fragrances, foods, stress, temperature, pressure. Our space stays unscented, every ingredient gets flagged, and your reactions are treated as real, because they are.
ME/CFS, fibro, and the bone-deep exhaustion of a nervous system stuck in protection mode. We offer sessions that restore instead of drain, and practitioners who understand that some days you arrive with less.
The intake form has a whole section for POTS and positioning: recline angle, heart rate patterns, breaks. Electrolytes and snacks are on hand. You'll never be asked to lie flat if your body can't.
Willow knows where the subluxation risk points are because she has them too. Your hypermobility isn't a complication here. It's a fact she plans around.
No diffusers, no scented candles, no fragranced products unless you ask. Temperature control, lighting choices, and a low-stimulation space for bodies that react to everything.
Sessions can be shortened, modified, or rescheduled. In a crash or flare, we work with what you have that day. You won't be pushed to perform wellness.
If a flare announces itself thirty minutes before your appointment, you won't be charged a fee or made to feel difficult for your body's reality.
Brain fog and executive dysfunction are real. Reminders by text or email, your communication preferences respected, and flexibility built in from the start.
Medical trauma is real trauma
For the ones who've been gaslit, dismissed, or handed an anxiety diagnosis when their heart rate hit 160 from standing up: somatic work can help your nervous system recover from that betrayal too. And your practitioner has sat in those same waiting rooms.
You deserve belief. You deserve answers. You deserve practitioners who will actually listen.
